LexCall (425-Call)

LexCall 311 is the City's centralized service and information call center. LexCall 311 can assist you with services to include garbage collection, potholes, trash and debris, street signs and other city services. They can also connect you to any city employee or division.

Animal Control

Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control (LFACC) provides the city's animal care and control services on behalf of LFUCG through an annual contract agreement. Each year, the LFACC shelter receives approximately 10,000 stray, abandoned and relinquished animals every year. The shelter is open 365 days a year to protect the animals of Fayette County and serve the community.

Waste Management

Whether it's recyclables that we can use again, yard waste that we can turn into mulch, or items we haul to the landfill, we are always looking for ways to keep the Bluegrass beautiful. Our work is not just about getting rid of things, it's about Lexington's quality of life, its health, and the look of our community.

Division of Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement works with property owners to bring their property into compliance with the International Property Maintenance Code and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances in the shortest time frame possible to ensure both a safe and beautiful Lexington. The division:

  • Addresses reported violations of local ordinances related to the maintenance of all homes, apartment complexes, businesses and all yards/lots within Fayette County.
  • Provides inspections related to general structure maintenance, sidewalk serviceability, property nuisance violations and the placement of temporary signs in an illegal manner.

Human Rights Commission

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission (LFUCHRC) is a neutral fact-finding agency that investigates alleged cases of discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodation in Lexington - Fayette County, Kentucky. There is no fee for our services.
